History

Since the early 1960‘s, Schober has been active in the USA market. The primary business was the sales of sheet-fed die cutting, perforating and creasing machines. More than 3000 machines of this type have been sold worldwide to date.

During the early 1980‘s a standard was set with the development of NG-Tools made of tungsten carbide. These tools were primarily developed for the Business-Forms Industry. Today, approximately 20,000 tool sets are in use worldwide. In addition, more and more modules were sold into the Label Industry.

In 1995 Schober USA Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio, was founded as a response to the demand of the North American market. Schober USA specialized in distribution of the Schober product line and was established as an affiliated company of Schober GmbH (Germany), today of Schober GmbH Holding.

In 2007 the demand for grinding & sharpening services for the tool sets being supplied in North America increased and in turn required an expansion of Schober USA again. That is when the property at 4690 Industry Drive, Fairfield, OH 45014 was acquired.
