Schober is a worldwide leader in Tungsten Carbide (TC) rotary die cutting and module concepts with over 50 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing tools and modules for the die cutting, sealing and scoring of nonwoven, woven, foil, film and paper related products, as well as providing global resharpening services. Active in cutting since 1949. Ten years of excellence in rotary carbide dies and systems. High speed die cutting modules with preset/indexed pressure adjustment. Low friction bearing assembly. Schober cutting dies and modules are used to manufacture a vide variety of products. Such as filters, for personal care and Hospital consumption, floppy discs, for food processing, packaging and many more. Our modules are designed to absorb vibrations and keep all relevant parameters to minimum variations for more predictable die / anvil life time cycles. The TC die design will be solid, segmented or with shells. We are now capable of offering solid TC rotary cutting dies up to a maximum length of 13.8" (350 mm) and a maximum diameter of 7.8" (200 mm). Tungsten Carbide is the best material available today for rotary cutting dies. Our R&D and later field tests have proved our high expectations on this material. 20 to 30 times higher life time expectancies as compared to our standard Super CR materials were confirmed. The best ever life time increase reported so far was from 5 to 7 million cuts to 156,000,000 cuts before re-sharpening. Take advantage of this important time and production proven technology to reduce your production costs. Hereafter is a brief summary of some of the advantages of TC cutting dies:
If you want to install TC cutting dies in your existing module, please note that for achieving optimum results it is a prerequisite to have the kame work examined. In addition, if needed, improvements must be made to adhere to Schober's higher quality standards of performance, as well as the location of the installation must be free of vibrations. |
