The nature of the Nonwoven material requires the knife to actually touch the surface of the anvil to crush even the last fiber for trouble-free waste removal at speeds of more than 1,700 ft/min. To minimize the wear of the tools the parameters involved with this technique have to be controlled even closer than other types of die cutting. Schober supplies the die modules that ensure best performs at these speeds. The materials used for our dies are constantly upgraded. Today, dies in Tungsten Carbide or PM materials are available in solid, sleeved or segmented design. This increases the amount of products cut before sharpening is required between 20 to 30 times. Schober segmented dies often can be sharpened more than 25 times before new segments are required. Several different die knife designs are available depending on the parameters of the material our customers process. Knife heights of more than 1" (25.4 mm) in addition to integrated pockets are possible. Regardless of whether you are interested in cutting disposable personal care items, adult incontinence products, pads, covers, masks, electronic or technical items.... we handle the toughest challenges and materials. Here are just a few examples of the large variety of rotary cutting dies we have supplied to the nonwovens industry.
